the design of the thermometers, their characteristics and destination can be varied. However, such devices are measuring instruments. Therefore, they are subject to mandatory verification.What is it checking?
Calibration of thermometers (pyrometers) is a complex of the actions directed on clarification of the metrological characteristics of the instrument. Calibration of an electronic thermometer gives you the opportunity to ensure that the measuring device is functioning properly. It can measure the temperature of an object (body) with acceptable error, the corresponding passport.
Calibration of thermometers (pyrometers) outwardly seems a simple operation, but it is a difficult task. To solve it you need:
- Special calibration equipment (black body);
- Equipped laboratory;
- application of the methods of verification that are in compliance with the applicable rules and regulations.
Therefore, calibration of thermometers you can not trust any company offering a lower price for this work. To guarantee the correct result, it is necessary to contact a reliable company (such is the company BALTECH) that the work was done efficiently.
The types of verifications
There are three main types of verifications:
- Primary;
- Periodic;
- Extraordinary.
- Primary verification
Before entering the device in the primary verification (or calibration) is performed by the manufacturer of the products. Such verification may be required even when:
- Repair of the thermometer (pyrometer);
- Import the device from abroad;
- the Loss of certificate of calibration.
Primary calibration is subjected thermometers approved for use in the territory of the Russian Federation and entered in the unified state register of measuring instruments.
Periodic checking
This verification is required in the operation of the device. It is performed after certain time (calibration interval) intervals, set the appropriate metrological service. The passport is usually specified 12-month calibration interval, at least 24 months, but it all depends on:
- Type thermometer (pyrometer);
- Design of the device;
- the operating conditions of the device;
- Stability of the equipment.
Occasional verification
In violation of the metrological characteristics of the thermometer (pyrometer) is an extraordinary fact. The correct operation of the device may be disrupted after:
- Fall;
- ingress of moisture;
- Violation of the operating regime and so on.
In some cases, expert inspection or verification.
